Doreen Taylor Peforms National Anthem for USMC

Adult contemporary, Billboard charting recording artist Doreen Taylor stopped off in Philadelphia to perform the National Anthem at the 241st birthday celebration of the US Marine Corps on Thursday, November 10th. On November 10, 1775, the Continential Marines were established by the Second Continental Congress. Research indicates that the birthplace of the Corps, as the first place where Marines enlisted, was in Philadelphia.

Thousands of US Marines converged in several blocks on Oregon Avenue where Taylor kicked off the official ceremony by performing an extremely moving rendition of the National Anthem

Doreen Taylor Performs National Anthem at Army Navy Cup III

Award winning singer/songwriter Doreen Taylor performed the National Anthem at the 2014 Army Navy Cup III at PPL Park; the home of the Philadelphia Union. Congratulations to the Navy players for a 1-0 win in double overtime to beat their rival Army team to capture the N-Star in front of 10,168 fans on Friday, November 7th.

Award winning singer/songwriter and recording artist Doreen Taylor just announced that she will be performing the National Anthem at the 2014 Army Navy Cup III to be held at the Philadelphia Union's PPL Park in Philadelphia, PA.

The critically acclaimed performer, who just recently sold out back to back shows in NYC and Philadelphia in October, was selected to perform the anthem on Friday November 7th at the nationally televised soccer event broadcast via the American Sports Network (a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcasting).
